"They were busy," Rad explained. "Much to do back at the base they have in the desert."

All three Autobots were sitting in one of Iacon's less refined refueleries. Catching up on news.

Rad, Jackpot and Skyfall.

Discussing why the alternate universe Autobots had not yet come to this Cybertron.

"That's a shame," Skyfall said as he sat down his drink. "I really was hoping to meet Optimus Prime."

Jackpot nodded. Skyfall, being one of the older Autobots by many, many vorns over the other two, knew Optimus quite well. He was online around the time Optimus and his crew set off to find new energy supplies to help them in their struggle against the Decepticons, and had been in more than a few battles against Shockwave, the Decepticons' commander in lieu of Megatron.

Rad knew that, to Skyfall, meeting this Optimus Prime would be like old times. Sure, other!Optimus might not have any idea what Skyfall was talking about, but he would understand the respect a soldier has for his commander.

"The spacebridge should be deactivated by now," Jackpot offered. Like Rad he was one of the younger Autobots, but about three or four vorns older than Rad himself. His youth made his risk-taking unnerving, but his age gave him enough experience to, as the human singer put it, know when to hold them and when to fold them, as well as when it was time to walk away or run. "So other than keeping an optic and an audio receptor tuned in for any new Decepticons entering Earth's orbit, they've got time on their hands to come visit."

Spacebridge. Rad tensed a little inside. His opinion was to keep it active. Just out of the reach of the prying hands and eyes of the Sector Seven people.

Bumblebee did not want to take that risk.

"Something wrong Rad?"

"Nothing."

Skyfall wasn't convinced, but he kept quiet about it.

Things remained quiet for several minutes until Jackpot broke the silence.

"So Rad. You planning to ask them to come over again?"

"Soon as I get a free moment to make the arrangements. Galvatron and the Decepticons are lying low after that last battle with Sky Lynx, so we won't need to worry about them."

"What about this Nemesis Breaker. What if he comes here?"

"He won't."

"You sure?" inquired Skyfall. Minions could appear at any time. That was one of the few constants in life. "He appeared there. He can appear here."

"We left Nemesis Breaker in stasis lock. Or, that's what it looked like. He might have perished in the explosion."

"That's not something I'd want to bet on," Jackpot put in. "We all thought Megatron was gone until he came back as Galvatron. Unicron's probably upgrading him into something worse even as we speak."

Several nearby patrons turned to look at the trio, fear in their faces.

"Let's not discuss him here, men," Skyfall admonished. "He's supposed to be gone, remember? I for one would like to leave it at that. We've got enough to deal with without dealing with Armaggedon-toting monsters."

"Tomorrow begins my time off duty. I'll be heading to the bar and if I meet the others, I'll ask them again. Now that everything's as quiet as it should be, the visit will be a low-key event. Meet and greet, an introduction between mechs, and a naming. Simple and short. Unless people start to badger the otherworlders. And I'm hoping that won't last long—especially if Slamdance doesn't show up. But I'm not counting on that."

Laughter from Jackpot and Skyfall. Slamdance was persistent, and his interviews were notorious in both their duration and tediousness. Slamdance left no question unasked.

But the laughter was cut short as the owner of the refuelery came up to them. "Fifteen cycles before closing. You planning on ordering anything else?"

They all shook their heads.

"You'd better pay up then."

The three mechs looked at each other.

"Whose turn is it to buy this time?"
